Light with Purpose: Supporting Venezuela Relief This July

For the past few months, this space has been quiet.

Not because there hasn’t been anything to say, but because sometimes words need to come from a place of clarity — not urgency.

Today, we’re returning to this journal with something deeply personal: the introduction of Light with Purpose, ETL’s impact initiative created to connect beauty, care, and meaningful contribution.

ETL is a U.S.-based brand led by a Venezuelan founder who believes light can be more than something we create — it can be something we share.

A Personal Connection

The recent earthquakes in Venezuela have been heavy to witness from afar.

When something happens in a place that shaped your family, your culture, your memories, or your identity, distance does not make it feel less personal. It simply changes the way you respond.

As a small brand, we know our contribution may not be massive. But we also believe that impact does not always begin with scale.

Sometimes, it begins with intention.

With asking: What can we do from where we are, with what we have?

That question is what led us here.

Introducing Light with Purpose

Light with Purpose is our impact initiative — created to use our platform, products, and community to support causes rooted in humanity, care, and awareness.

Our candles have always been about more than fragrance. They are about presence. Ritual. Softness. The quiet moments that help us feel grounded.

But we also believe beauty should not exist in isolation from the world around us.

Light can comfort.

Through Light with Purpose, we hope to create small but intentional ways to contribute to communities and causes that need support.

Venezuela Relief Initiative

Throughout the month of July, 10% of online candle sales will support verified Venezuela relief efforts for communities affected by the recent earthquakes.

Recovery takes time. It does not happen in a few days, and it does not end when the headlines slow down.

This campaign is one small way ETL can contribute with care, purpose, and transparency.

At the end of July, we’ll share a donation update with our community, including the total contributed and the organization supported.

How You Can Support

There are a few ways to be part of this effort.

You can shop online through ETL during the month of July, knowing that 10% of online candle sales will go toward Venezuela relief efforts.

We encourage you to support organizations and initiatives mobilizing relief, supplies, and community support for Venezuela.

Global Empowerment Mission
Global Empowerment Mission is responding to the Venezuela earthquakes by delivering food, water, hygiene supplies, shelter materials, and other essential relief items to families affected by the disaster. Their Venezuela Earthquakes mission page also notes support for hospitals and emergency response needs.

Sun.Risas
Sun.Risas has created an official Venezuela Earthquake Relief donation page to raise funds for relief efforts. Their campaign page allows one-time and monthly donations and is specifically dedicated to Venezuela earthquake support.

The House Project
Community-focused initiative collecting donations to provide emergency humanitarian aid, including food, clean water, and hygiene kits for families affected by the earthquake.

We Love Foundation / I Love Venezuela
A nonprofit platform supporting social programs and local organizations in Venezuela, with work focused on health, education, and social development.

Cáritas de Venezuela
Cáritas de Venezuela is a humanitarian organization with a long-standing presence in the country.

And if donating or shopping is not possible right now, sharing trusted resources also matters.
